  1. @Grant I think the reason that the dropping of the bombs was described so in depth was because it was a big deal. The whole city was being bombed. It was showing how he actually escaped all that basically because he was as brainwashed as everyone else. He knew that books were the way to live and that if they didn't have books then people would know what to do with anything. ~Samantha

  2. @Grant I think that the society that will be build on top of the city that has been bombed will be like the old one. They realized that too many people were figuring out about books that they just needed to create a new slate for themselves. The government will rebuild, in my opinion, a new population that doesn't even know what books are. While I believe Montag and his gang will find a way to create their own little city where they have books. (I could write a sequel to this !) :)

  3. @Joseph I believe the book ends the way that it does because it shows the beginning of a new city and the extremes that the government, possibly, has gone to to get rid of the books once and for all. I think that it really leaves it open for your imagination to let you wrap it up for yourself, it lets you think about what could possibly happen which is very ironic because in the book they don't want you to read books so you can't think for yourself but he leaves the book with a broad ending so that you may be able to create you own true ending to the story. This is what i personally think and took out of the text.

  4. @Connor Beatty says that all fireman go through a phase of wanting books. I had a feeling that Beatty knew something was different with Montag. I feel that Beatty knew who Clarrise was and so when Montag met are and started to act different he knew that once he had a book, it wasn't going to just be a phase and that Montag actually might do something about it.
