  6. @Sanat Mildred showed that she was intelligent sometimes by lying for Montag and snitching on him all in an apparently elaborate plan to help herself.

  7. @Jacob the people may not be smart enough or aware enough to suspect that it was someone else, so they found a random loner walking. Since he was walking this made it believable that it was Montag.

  9. @Jacob A lot of times we can be like this too when we believe a lot of the things that we see on the news, on tv, and on the internet, but in reality a lot of times they are not true or at least the entrie truth is not being told.
